A glimpse at how one surgical team persevered when the Tornado hit Joplin, MO on Sunday, and how the magnitude of a disaster like this begins to sink in.
James D. “Dusty” Smith, MD, and his surgical team were midway through a routine case, the draining of a patient’s infected hip, when the tornado hit St. John’s Regional Medical Center.
